The site is steeply sloped up from the access road, partly wooded at the back and with a lovely view of the sea on the west coast of Barbados. The design of this six bedroom, six and a half bathroom vacation house for a large distinguished family started wih the sectional drawing. The site was tamed by creating a series of internal terraces on which one senses the slope of the land in the interior "landscape" of the house. This five level house has an internal double height void around which the various spaces are organized. Several terraces allow for sea, sunset and moon gazing. Renderings by Jason Green.
