Based in Barbados, Architect Gordon Ashby is the founder of Gordon Ashby Architect Ltd which was established in 1994. GAA Ltd is an architectural company offering design and consultantancy services from the interpretation of  an idea and desires of a client to the satisfactory and smooth completion of construction. Gordon Ashby has had over 27 years experience in the design and execution of residences and commercial work.

We strive to deliver an architectural service that is of an extremely high quality, challengly creative and almost aburdly tropical within a suprisingly quick time frame.

We combine the  primary Platonic forms- cube, cylinder, pyramid, sphere -  in different arrangements to create highly functional, comfortable and pleasing environments.

Where possible walls are eliminated and space defined through changes of level or other subtle means. The connection to the outoors is stenghened and enhanced as much as possible. Appearant simplicity of detail and ease of maintainance is a principle objective. Projects are born out of and wedded to their particular site and locale but aspire to a certain universality. Close attention to air flow and light is important. Proportions are used to create harmony in plan, section, elevation and details.
